Fees and Payments

The service I offer is bespoke, and as result fees vary from project to project. However, the fees quoted below will give you an overall idea of what to expect. We’ll discus and agree the fee before I start work on the project, and you will be invoiced for 50% when I begin, with the remainder due on completion.

Hourly rates

Skype consultations:
£50 per hour (min 30 minutes)

Projects under 10,000 words:
Proofreading: £25 per hour
Copy-editing: £29 per hour
Line-editing: £33 per hour

Rates for full manuscripts

Development editing/manuscript appraisal (includes full manuscript report):
£450.00 up to 80,000 words, plus £4.00 per additional 1,000 words

Copy-editing:
£350.00 up to 80,000 words, plus £3.00 per additional 1,000 words

Proof-reading:
£300.00 up to 80,000 words, plus £2.00 per additional 1,000 words

Writing blurbs/synopses/press releases:
£55.00 for each, if written in conjunction with proof-reading or copy-editing. Otherwise, £135.00 for each.
